Introducing the New Studio Space | El Dorado Hills Newborn & Family Photographer
Sacramento Newborn & Family Photographer
I have been so excited to share this with you.
For a while now I have been quietly working on something new, and I think the images finally do it justice enough to sit down and talk about it. My studio here in El Dorado Hills has a new space, and honestly I have been a little giddy about it ever since it came together.
If you have been in my original studio before, you already know the feeling I love creating for my clients. Warm, unhurried, intimate. That space has such a beautiful rustic soul to it. The whitewashed brick, the linen textures, the wooden details, the soft arch that wraps around families in the most beautiful way. I have documented so many precious stories in that room and I love it deeply. That is not going anywhere.
But I wanted to give families something a little different too. Another option. Another feeling…
Stepping Into the New Space
The best way I can describe the new studio is that it feels like stepping into a quiet art gallery that somehow also feels like home.
Smooth sculptural arches curve along the walls in warm plaster tones. A curved boucle sofa sits at the center, soft and inviting. Simple ceramic vessels rest on built in shelving alongside an olive tree that brings just enough life and warmth into the room without competing with the people in it. The floors are light wood. The whole palette is cream and sand and the most beautiful warm neutral tones.
It is clean and intentional without feeling cold. Elevated without feeling stiff. And when families step into it, something happens. They relax. They look around. And then they just settle in and let the session unfold.
That is exactly the feeling I was going for.
The Light
One of the things that makes this space feel so different from my original studio is the light. In the new space, the most beautiful light comes in during the afternoon, around 1pm, and it has this soft diffused quality that wraps around everything so gently. It is the kind of light that feels effortless in photographs.
My original studio has its own gorgeous quality of light too, and both spaces share that same intimate, peaceful atmosphere that I have always wanted my clients to feel from the moment they walk through the door. The experience is the same. The backdrop is just a little different.
Which Space Is Right for You
Honestly, both. And choosing between them is one of the conversations I love having with clients when we are planning a session together.
The original studio tends to resonate with families who love that warm boho feel. Rich textures, rustic layers, the kind of images that feel deeply cozy and lived in. It photographs beautifully for newborn sessions, maternity sessions, and family sessions alike.
The new space tends to appeal to families who are drawn to something a little more refined and sculptural. Clean lines, soft tones, images that feel timeless and almost editorial in their simplicity. It is a stunning option for maternity sessions especially, and I cannot wait to see more newborn and family sessions come to life in it too.
If you are not sure which one feels more like you, just reach out and we can talk through it. That is genuinely one of my favorite parts of the planning process.
Come See It for Yourself
I am so proud of what this space has become, and I cannot wait to welcome families into it. If a studio session has been on your heart, whether for a maternity session, a newborn session, or a family session, I would love to have you be one of the first to experience it.
A Quick Reminder: My fall sessions open up Aug 6th and fill up very quickly. If you would like to see available session dates or be added to my waitlist, please click the link below.
