I never take for granted each time I am given the honor to walk alongside a mama through the most tender seasons of her motherhood journey
I meet so many stunning mothers each year, and every single one brings their own uniqueness to their sessions. I always walk away thinking about what made them so beautifully special, and this session was absolutely no different.
Alexas was radiant.
That's the only word for it. When she stepped into her El Dorado Hills outdoor maternity session, there was this warmth that just effortlessly flowed from her, the kind that has nothing to do with the golden Northern California sunlight and everything to do with the woman herself. She was glowing, joyful, fully present in the sweetness of those final weeks of pregnancy. And she wasn't alone in that joy. Her husband and their little girl were right there beside her, already so in love with the baby sister they hadn't yet met. There was so much laughter, so much tenderness between them, the kind of family love that just spills into every frame without you even trying to capture it. They truly made my job so easy.
And then Lyndon arrived.
Weeks later, Alexas met me at my Folsom/ El Dorodo Hills Studio, but this time as a mama of two, holding her brand new baby girl. The studio was soft and quiet, and so was she. Big sister was there too, and there is truly nothing like watching an older child interact with their sibling in that gentle, curious way, equal parts curious and proud. Alexas held Lyndon with such gentleness, and that sweet newborn, tucked herself right in, completely at home in her mama's arms.
Two sessions. Two completely different energies. And yet they tell one continuous story.
The story of a mother & father expanding their hearts in more ways than they could have ever imagined, a big sister smitten with her new best friend, and a baby girl finding her way into a family that was already so madly in love with her before she ever arrived this side of heaven.
