My Story in Photography

Hi there! I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share a little about who I am and my story. My name is Tsaiti Babella. I am a wife to my amazing husband, Mark Babella, and a mom of three angels, Leon (7), Loren (4), and Lincoln (1). I started photography back in high school and haven’t put my camera down since. There is so much love and so many emotions that go into why I do photography and what keeps me going. So, I answered some pretty intimate questions about my story to give you the full picture. Welcome to my world- I can’t wait for you to dive in.

How photography became a part of my story

Life is a beautiful journey filled with many celebrations, both big and small. From birthdays and graduations to weddings and anniversaries, these moments are incredibly special and should be cherished and captured to keep as memories. As we grow and age, our experiences, and appearance change. It's important to have tangible reminders of these milestones to share with future generations. By documenting our experiences and stories, we can pass on valuable lessons, traditions, and memories to our loved ones.

I often think about what stories and experiences I can share with my children and grandchildren down the road. I know that one day they will ask me what I looked like when I was younger and I want to be able to paint a vivid picture for them. I want to share my memories of growing up, my favorite childhood activities, and the lessons I learned along the way. I want to tell them about my first love, my first job, and the challenges I faced in life. I hope that by sharing my experiences, I can inspire and encourage them to chase their dreams and live their best life.

So let's celebrate life and create keepsakes that will last a lifetime!

How I got into photography

My Grandma is truly an amazing woman. She has not only played a huge role in my life but also in the lives of countless others. She is a big piece of my story when it comes to falling in love with the art of photography. Whenever I visit her, she never fails to fill me with a sense of warmth and nostalgia as she flips through her old photo albums. Her stories and memories are a treasure chest of wisdom, love, and laughter. I am always in awe of the love that she and my grandpa shared, evident in every photo of them together. Her stories of my mom and uncles as children are heartwarming and hilarious. I am constantly reminded of the beauty that surrounds us in life, and how important it is to cherish those moments and memories. My Grandma has inspired me to capture the light and shadow in my work, just as she has captured the light and shadow of her own life.

When did I start practicing photography?

I started my career in the advertising industry where I studied the ins and outs of creating impactful campaigns. Eventually, I found my way into the tech field as an account manager. Despite the change, I've always had a passion for connecting with people and the idea aspect that comes with it.

In my role as an account manager, I was able to do just that. I focused on building relationships with clients and helping them achieve their goals. Now, as a photographer, I can still utilize those same skills. I get to build connections with my clients to capture their most important moments.

I have always been passionate about photography since my high school days. Back then, taking photos meant using film cameras and developing your own photos in a dark room. Digital photography was not yet accessible. It was an exciting time to be a photographer. It taught me the value of patience and the art of taking that perfect shot. I always had my camera with me wherever I went, ready to capture the beauty of life. Even though digital photography has made things easier, I still cherish the memories of my early days in the field.

What was the transition like going into Photography?

Art has always been a significant part of my life. It's what has led me to pursue a career in photography. As I captured the beautiful moments of my firstborn son, I realized the joy that came with sharing these images with family and friends. This experience ignited a calling from God, motivating me to move forward with photography as a career.

Although I was uncertain about returning to the tech field, I knew that I always wanted to have a career related to art. Since then, I was building my portfolio with model calls and clients. I am so glad I followed my heart and I have never put down my camera. Photography has allowed me to express my creativity, capture precious moments, and share the beauty of life with others.

The motivation behind my photography business

My son once asked me that question about who is number one in photography. I could tell that he was going through a phase of curiosity about who are the best in various fields. It was a very sweet moment to witness. I decided to answer him by saying that there are many talented photographers in different genres. But then, he surprised me by saying that he wanted me to be one of the best photographers out there.

From that point on, I've been motivated to work harder and improve my photography skills, not just for myself but also for my family. It's amazing how children can inspire us to be better versions of ourselves in such a friendly and innocent way.

It was a pivotal moment for me. It made me realize that my children are watching and listening to everything I say and do. I wanted to show them that pursuing your passions and succeeding is possible. So, I decided to take the leap and pursue photography as a career. It hasn't been easy, but seeing the pride in my children's eyes when they see my work makes it all worth it. I hope that I can continue to be an inspiration to them and show them that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

What’s next in my story?

As a photographer, I am driven by the desire to capture the special moments and memories of families for generations to come. I understand the importance of preserving these moments which can be cherished and treasured for a lifetime. It brings me immense satisfaction to know that the images I capture will be cherished by families and serve as a reminder of their love and bond. I take pride in playing a small part in their special moments. For as long as I am able, I hope to continue to capture these memories and contribute to the legacy of families.

It's a privilege to be able to capture these memories and I feel grateful every day for the opportunity to do so.

As a professional in the field of photography, my ultimate goal is to keep evolving and deepening my craft to better serve and celebrate families in all their significant memories. I understand that photographs are an integral part of family history and play a crucial role in preserving memories. Therefore, it is my responsibility to ensure that each picture I take is of the highest quality and conveys the essence of the moment. I constantly strive to improve my skills and stay up-to-date with the latest tools and techniques. In the long run, this is what helps me better capture the fleeting moments of life. My passion for photography and my commitment to excellence drive me to continue learning and refining my craft. That way, I can better serve my clients and help them cherish their memories for a lifetime.
